Missy Jane Art respects your privacy. This policy explains how we use information when you visit missyjaneart.com, place an order, create an account, or contact us. For privacy questions, email missyjane@missyjaneart.com.
Information we collect
When you order, we collect the information needed to complete your purchase, such as your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, phone number if supplied, purchased items, and order notes. If you create an account, we also store your account details and saved preferences.
When you contact us, we receive the details you provide in your message. Contact-form submissions are stored on our website and sent to our business email. Please do not include passwords, complete card numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Our website and service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser, device information, and activity needed to operate the site, keep your cart working, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot problems.
How we use information
We use your information to process payments, calculate tax, fulfill and ship orders, send order updates, handle returns, respond to inquiries, maintain accounts, and protect our store from fraud or misuse. We also retain records needed for accounting, legal obligations, and resolving disputes. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising unrelated to Missy Jane Art.
Payments and service providers
Payments are handled through WooPayments and its payment-processing partners, including Stripe. If you choose Apple Pay, Google Pay, or WooPay, the relevant provider also processes information under its own privacy policy. Our website does not store your complete credit-card number or security code. Saved payment methods use payment-provider references rather than the complete card number.
We share information needed to provide our services with providers that support website hosting, WooCommerce and WordPress.com services, automated tax calculation, business email through Google, and shipping through Pirate Ship and USPS. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to address fraud, security concerns, or a legal claim.
For information about payment-provider practices, see Automattic’s privacy policy and Stripe’s privacy policy. Service providers may process information outside your state or country.
Cookies and account features
Cookies and similar technologies help the website remember your cart, maintain a login, and support payment and security features. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, but blocking necessary cookies may prevent shopping, checkout, or account features from working properly.
Comments and outside websites
If you submit a comment or review where available, we collect the information in that form and may use your IP address and browser details to help detect spam. Information you choose to include in a public comment or review may be visible to other visitors. An email-derived identifier may be sent to Gravatar to display an account image.
Links to social media and other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies. We do not control their data practices.
Retention and your choices
Order, account, and correspondence records are retained while needed to provide service and meet accounting, legal, security, and dispute-resolution requirements. Comments and reviews may remain until removed. Service providers may have their own retention requirements.
You may email missyjane@missyjaneart.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We may ask you to verify your identity. Some records must be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security purposes. You can also update available account details through My account.
Security and updates
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy as our services change; the revised date will appear above.
